Rigid geometric structures and applications of Cartan connections

The proposed project will be concerned with rigid geometric structures on manifolds and applications of Cartan connections to fundamental problems in differential and complex algebraic geometry. In particular we will consider cone structures and conic connections,
which are geometric structures that arise naturally in various areas of mathematics and physics.
