Jindřiška Svobodová – Earth under the magnifying glass of satellites

Jindřiška Svobodová – Earth under the magnifying glass of satellites

The lecture will focus on physical principles that underpin the methods used in remote Earth exploration. We'll address how satellites see and image the planet from space, from mapping the gravitational field to tracking changes in the landscape and atmosphere.

We'll get hands-on experience working with freely available applications over satellite data. We will show how these tools can be used to enhance your teaching and how you can use them in your own practice.
