The aim of the project is to build a laboratory focused on the study of functionally important complexes of biomacromolecules, namely those of nucleic acids and proteins, which form so called genome architecture (telomeres, centromeres, A study of the genetic heterochromatin blocks, complexes of nuclear matrix, nucleosomes). Metabolism of genetic material (replication, transcription, recombination) proceeds at these complexes and is, therefore, significantly affectedby their properties. information in its nuclear context will determine the basis of education of our postgraduate students. During the next four years, the nucleoprotein complexes will be characterised, which form indispensable functional elements of eukaryotic chromosomes - the telomeres.
