In living organisms, a wide variety of peptides self-assemble into a range of structures, which can be vital or
lethal. The proposed project aims at elucidating key conditions and properties of self-assembly of amphiphilic
peptides with prolate shape. The key insight in the self-assembly is rationalization of the dependence of
aggregate morphology on the structure of building blocks. To explore the dependence, we will use computer
simulations with coarse grained models, which are computational affordable and at the same time contain
the essential features of building peptides. The obtained knowledge could provide a valuable information
for development of new peptide based materials, scaffolds, and therapeutics.
