Today, you can use drones with a camera in some places, while in others we still have to rely on a roof window of the surrounding buildings, from which we have to lean out dangerously with an expensive camera to achieve the desired image.

Our experts will sit on the governing bodies of the Czech grant agencies

Jaroslav Koča, Director of the National Centre for Biomolecular Research at the Faculty of Science, MU, and Scientific Director of the CEITEC MU centre, will chair the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic from 10 December. In mid-October, Jana Klánová, Director of the RECETOX Centre of the MU Faculty of Science, was elected as a member of the Research Council of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic.

The letter of the Dean to students

Dear students, these days we are commemorating two events in our history connected with the date of November 17 and university students’ protests against totalitarian regimes. Two events that are exactly half a century apart. In both cases, these protests led to changes in society. Fortunately, for the better in the latter, and thanks to that, you can enjoy freedom and democracy today. But it was not free.
